The 2011 Stratford on Avon Music Festival which ran between 15-22 October was, according to the local press: “A roaring success”.
The focus on last year’s festival was attracting new audiences. Festival Chairman, Nigel Phillips said: “Everyone who spoke to me was very impressed with the quality of the concerts and the way they were presented.” He went on to say that: “I think the festival was an artistic success. (Guitarist) Craig Ogden was a sell out – the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra with Jacqui Dankworth was very well attended as was the Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers concert in the Civic Hall.”
